Clarksville, Tennessee newborn Photographer
Preserving the first days, beautifully and gently.
There is something so incredibly special about welcoming a new baby into the world.
These first days are unlike anything else. Tiny fingers wrapped around yours. Sleepy stretches. The way they fit so perfectly against your chest. Before you even have a chance to settle into this new chapter, they’re already changing.
One day, you’ll look back and realize just how quickly this season passed.
Newborn portraits aren’t simply about documenting what your baby looked like. They’re about preserving the beginning of your family’s story. The overwhelming love you felt. The quiet moments in between feedings. The tiny details that are impossible to hold onto except through photographs.
My hope is that years from now, these portraits will bring you right back to these first precious days—to the way your baby felt in your arms, the love that filled your home, and the beginning of a story you’ll cherish for the rest of your lives.
If you’re looking for a newborn photographer in Clarksville, Tennessee who will gently guide every step of the experience while creating beautiful portraits you’ll treasure for generations, I would be honored to welcome your family into my studio.
A peaceful experience, designed with your growing family in mind.
Those first weeks of parenthood are beautiful, but they’re also exhausting. You’re learning your baby’s cues, adjusting to sleepless nights, and settling into a brand new rhythm as a family. The last thing I ever want is for your newborn session to feel like another thing you have to worry about.
From the moment you arrive at the studio, my goal is simple: to create a calm, welcoming space where you can simply slow down and enjoy this season with your baby. There is no expectation for your little one to sleep the entire session. There is no pressure if they need to be fed, soothed, cuddled, or changed. Every newborn session is completely baby-led, allowing plenty of time for breaks whenever your baby needs them. While you settle into the studio and take a moment to breathe, I’ll gently guide each portrait with patience and care, always following your baby’s comfort first. Some babies sleep soundly from beginning to end. Others prefer to stay awake and quietly observe the world around them. Both are perfectly okay.
My approach has never been about rushing through a checklist of poses. It’s about creating a relaxed experience that allows us to preserve this incredible season exactly as it is, while keeping your baby’s comfort and safety at the center of every decision.
Tiny details deserve gentle hands.
Inviting someone to photograph your newborn is one thing. Trusting someone to carefully handle your days-old baby is something entirely different. It isn’t a responsibility I ever take lightly. Every newborn session is approached with patience, gentleness, and an understanding that your baby’s comfort will always come before creating a particular image. If your little one needs to pause for a feeding, be wrapped for comfort, spend a few extra moments in your arms, or simply doesn’t settle into a pose, that’s perfectly okay. We simply follow their lead.
There is never a need to rush.
Throughout your session, I’ll gently guide every pose while watching your baby’s comfort every step of the way. Some of the most meaningful portraits happen during the quiet in-between moments—a tiny yawn, fingers wrapped around yours, the way they naturally settle against your chest. As parents, you don’t have to know how to pose or worry about what comes next. I’ll guide you through each portrait in a way that feels natural and relaxed, creating images that feel timeless rather than overly posed.
More than anything, I want you to leave feeling confident that your baby was cared for with the same patience and gentleness that I would hope for if it were my own family.
Come as you are. I’ve prepared the rest.
One of the things I hear most often from new parents is, “What do we need to bring?” The answer is… probably much less than you think. Everything about the studio has been thoughtfully prepared so you can spend less time packing and planning, and more time simply enjoying these first days with your little one.
You’ll have access to a carefully curated collection of timeless wraps, blankets, bonnets, headbands, and newborn accessories, all selected in soft, neutral tones that keep the focus exactly where it belongs, on your baby. Every setup is intentionally simple, creating portraits that will feel just as beautiful twenty years from now as they do today.
For mothers, you’ll also have access to my growing client wardrobe, filled with dresses chosen specifically for portrait sessions. Rather than spending weeks searching for something to wear, you’ll be able to choose from pieces that photograph beautifully and complement the soft, organic style you’ll see throughout my work.
If siblings or the rest of the family are joining us, I’ll help coordinate everyone’s clothing before your session so everything feels cohesive without looking overly matched. My goal is for you to arrive feeling prepared, confident, and able to simply enjoy your time together.
The studio itself has been designed to feel quiet, comfortable, and welcoming. Whether your baby needs a feeding break, extra cuddles, or a few peaceful moments before we continue, there is never any pressure to rush. This is your time, and we’ll move at your baby’s pace from beginning to end.
When you walk through the studio doors, my hope is that you’ll feel like everything has already been taken care of. Because it has.
Long after they’ve outgrown your arms, these photographs will remain.
The newborn stage is one of the shortest seasons you’ll ever experience. Right now, it’s easy to believe you’ll always remember the tiny details. The soft rolls on their legs. The way their little fingers instinctively wrap around yours. The sleepy stretches. The newborn curls. The way they fit so perfectly against your chest.
But these first days pass more quickly than any of us expect.
Before long, they’ll be smiling. Then crawling. Then running through your home, filling every room with laughter. One day, you’ll look back and realize just how quickly this season became a memory.
That’s why newborn portraits matter.
Not because they’re another item to check off before the baby arrives, but because they become one of the few tangible ways to revisit these first days long after they’ve passed. Years from now, these photographs won’t simply remind you of what your baby looked like. They’ll remind you of how it felt to hold them when they were brand new. They’ll become part of your family’s story—displayed on the walls of your home, tucked into heirloom albums, and one day, shared with the very child you once rocked to sleep.
It’s one of the greatest privileges of my work to preserve these memories for families, knowing that the value of these portraits only grows with time.

Choosing someone to preserve your baby’s first days is an investment in memories you’ll treasure for the rest of your life. My hope is to make the entire experience feel simple, relaxed, and beautifully personalized from beginning to end.

FAQ

When should we reserve our newborn session?
The best time to reserve your newborn session is during your second trimester. Reserving early allows me to hold space around your estimated due date, since we never know exactly when your little one will decide to arrive. Once your baby is here, simply let me know, and we’ll choose the perfect session date together.
If your baby has already arrived, please don’t worry. If my schedule allows, I’ll always do my best to welcome your family into the studio.
How old should my baby be for newborn portraits?
Newborn sessions are ideally photographed within the first two weeks after birth, when babies are typically sleepiest and naturally curl into those sweet newborn poses.
That said, every baby is different. Beautiful portraits can absolutely be created beyond this window, so if your little one is already a few weeks old, I’d still love to hear from you.
Do you offer Fresh 48 sessions?
Yes! For families who would love to preserve those first quiet hours after their baby’s arrival, Fresh 48 sessions are also available.
Photographed within the first 24 to 48 hours after birth, these sessions beautifully document the moments that often pass in a blur. Their tiny fingers and toes, first cuddles, introductions with siblings, and the overwhelming joy of welcoming your little one into the world.
If you’re interested in a Fresh 48 session, simply let me know, and I’d be happy to share all the details.
Do you offer albums and artwork?
I do, and they’re honestly one of my favorite parts of the experience.
While your Signature Newborn Experience includes beautifully hand-edited digital portraits, many families choose to preserve their favorite images in handcrafted heirloom albums, framed wall artwork, matted gift prints, and keepsake pieces designed to be enjoyed every day rather than stored away on a hard drive.
After your gallery is delivered, I’ll happily help you choose artwork that beautifully complements your home and allows these memories to become part of your family’s everyday life for generations to come.
